Love this bakery. Been around for years, the staff are always pleasant. What's not to love

Expensive! Pies and sausage rolls are very avarage for the price although the cakes are nice and the roast pork rolls are epic but for The fiver they need to be. Overall quite good but seriously over priced.

After my last review about my disappointing visit and the reply from the bakery, we decided to give it another go this morning. Again a disappointing visit. The staff were moaning that there were only two of them so they can't do everything (not all fillings were available - we weren't moaning we just asked if they were available), the bacon rolls barely had any sauce on them (I mean a literal smear like it was put on by accident in both sandwiches) and there was less bacon again than there used to be which was overcooked and hard. For the price they were disappointing, shame it's gone down hill as this was our Friday morning treat. On plus side the double knotted donut was nice.

Food is nice, bit pricey. service is mixed - told 10 minute wait for bacon roll, ended up being 25 minutes with no apology and a smaller portion than usual.

I visited Warings at 11:00 today. 3.25 for a Sourdough loaf and when we cut it up for lunch it was stale (yes, I do know the difference) with a strange vinegar smell not present in other sourdough loafs I've purchased elsewhere. Go to Tesco or Co-op (when it reopens) for fresh bread at reasonable prices not the expensive stale alternative.Response 13.08.18:Warings, in response to your comments I was not told that the bread was past it's best nor was I given a 50% discount! (unless your normal RRP is 6.50 a loaf) So it would appear that a member of your staff lied to you or you lied to me, either way less than impressive customer service. The loaf in question now resides in my bin and I'll just vote with my feet and encourage others to do so.
